Meetup.com can help you find groups having meetups about music in 64 countries, 1,286 cities, by 4,434 groups as of this posting time. So regardless of where yu are going to be, you can probably plan to meet which locals to discuss or learn about the local music situation.

This web site has several areas of free classes and training at CreativeLive.com. If you're inclined to try some of them come back here and let others know whether they are a good resource for Traveling ongoing Learners. I can see the videos right away, and they look good for anyone with W-Fi access while traveling or maybe pre-downloaded on a device with enough storage space. The scheduled classes would require synchronised free time I suppose, unless they record them live and store the recordings. There is some pure web text which would also be useful if you are in reading capable travel mode.

It is a forum, and members who are into music might be able to help figure it out. Be sure to read the forum rules before you go posting, as they may not react well to spam or ignoring their rules.

First I thought I'd try gathering twitter subject matter and displaying it as RSS. Any opinions on whether there is any value here? Certainly the subject matter is fleeting, and it's something you could do from your own twitter account. Here is a link to my trial page.

Is this still a useful resource in these modern times? I'm not a musician myself although music is in the family in both the generation before and after me. Still I never see anything but marching bands using sheet music. I wonder what the story is?

I caught this the night it showed on The Tonight show, but it came up again today.

Could the threatened innocent boy wizard seem any different in a beard throwing out rap?

Does it seem like real rap coming from a white, English boy? I actually find it less annoying

to the ear than most rap, but I cannot explain why.  Inter-generational resistance to change

is how I used to explain it but now I'm lost for why.

Does understanding Music History help you understand Music? Does it make the music coming out of you better? I'm interested in Musicians opinions?
